The village of Braunston is an ideal location to explore the beautiful countryside on the boarders of Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. The Admiral Nelson is a quintessential inn that has been a watering hole for villagers and resting post for canal bargees since the 18th Century.

Located off the A45 between Rugby and Daventry, at the junction of the Oxford and Grand Union Canals, Braunston is a focal point on the Midlands canal network. Today leisure craft dominate the canals and the area boasts one of the busiest flights of locks in the country and a thriving canal boat marina.

The location is perfect to stay for a few days whilst you explore the region. Day trips to some of England’s favourite tourist attractions, including Stratford upon Avon and Shakespeare country, Warwick and Kenilworth castles. The Cotswolds are only an hour’s drive.
